Real estate in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood is red hot right now, and I’ve seen my buyers losing out on homes they want when multiple bids are received.
While previewing a new townhome development this weekend in the south edge of Avondale, I was reminded what a great alternative this pocket of the neighborhood can be for those buyers priced out of Logan. While a solid neighborhood in its own right (and I should know, as I’m among the top-selling agents in Avondale this year), Avondale offers many of the same things Logan does: proximity to the CTA blue line & buses as well as the highway, great restaurants and in this case, a short 10 minute walk to “the square.”
I’ve posted some photos below of this development, located at 3634 W. George Street (across the street from St. Hyacinth). Here’s a web link to the professional photos and listing: http://bit.ly/1umn7Ub
Modern finishes, lots of light and great private patios are some of the things that grabbed my attention while walking through. Additionally, the main floor is polished & heated concrete, and there is a huge walk-in shower in the master suite. If you’re looking in the $400-425K price range and aren’t finding what you want (or winning the bids) in Logan Square, I’d recommend trying this development. I think it’s a great value.
